Our Programs CELEBRATION OF GIFTS AND TALENTS... Each Spring, St. John has a special Lenten Celebration of our Gifts and Talents, with a variety of classes, musical groups, and sales of handmade items.  The favorite way to end the day is with Kites and Cookies - a nice mix of kite-flying with a professional served up with the dessert of the day. Youth Events... are held as scheduled.

UNITED METHODIST MEN...meet for an ecumenical prayer breakfast, each Wednesday morning at 7 am, Taco Hut, 311 Main (Between eastbound and westbound US83.

United Methodist Women... meet as an ecumenical group as scheduled (most months).

Open House... St. John celebrates OPEN HOUSE each fall from mid-August until the Beef Barbeque on the third weekend in November. 

During this time, we especially welcome all the new teachers in central Starr County, and offer both Sunday and weekend programs of music, an ice cream social, classes for aspiring artists, and Arrowhead hunts for children of all ages. 

In past years we have enjoyed opera, Mariachi Cascabel groups from the RGC High School, Barbershop Quartets, Gospel Music and much more.
